1970s Stromberg Carlson rotary dial desk telephone with hold button
Turn the clear button on the front to the right, your call is placed on hold. Turn it back to the left and you can once again carry on a conversation with the other party.
Testing results from standard landline:
Calls can be made and received
Volume control dial on the bottom allows ringer volume to be adjusted from hi to low
Plastic dial turns nicely
Painted numbers around the dial are in very good condition
Coil cord from the phone to the handset has no stretching
Stamped on the bottom: Final Inspection 8 79
Note the end of the original 5 foot silver cord from the phone that goes into the wall jack. It looks weird, but I had no problem with it going in the wall jack.
There are some minor scratches and blemishes on this old rotary phone, common for age and use. There is a dab of gold paint on the back of the handset. While it does not distract from the phone, it might not be to difficult to remove if the new owner wants to do it.
